Job summary

InterImage in Virginia is seeking a Software Engineer to develop AI-enabled solutions for national security programs across DoD and federal initiatives. You will design, build, test, and deploy modern software with Generative AI capabilities and scalable backend services.

Collaborate with experienced engineers, architects, and mission stakeholders to modernize technology, automate data analysis, and enhance decision support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of modern software applications and AI-enabled tools.
• Assist with integrating Generative AI technologies into internal and customer-facing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to prototype emerging capabilities.
• Develop APIs, automation workflows, and scalable backend services.
• Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, standups, and code reviews.
• Research and evaluate new AI/ML frameworks, tools, and technologies.
• Contribute to cloud-native and containerized development environments.
• Help document technical solutions, system architecture, and development processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on modernization and innovation.
