Job summary

Offit Kurman is seeking a seasoned estate planning attorney with 10+ years of experience to serve middle-income and high-net-worth clients from our Los Angeles area office.

The ideal candidate is licensed in California, comfortable leading face-to-face meetings, and adept at advising on irrevocable trusts, ILITs, SLATs and GRATs. Willingness to travel to the LA office several times a week is required. Salary ranges from $175,000 to $300,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Ten plus (10+) years of experience practicing trusts and estates law.
• Proven ability to develop comprehensive estate plans for middle-income and high-net-worth clients.
• Guidance on tax-efficient strategies, including irrevocable trusts, ILITs, SLATs and GRATs.
• Experience leading face-to-face client meetings and maintaining client relationships.
• Licensed to practice law in California and able to travel to the LA office regularly.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate planning strategies and tax-efficient structures.
• Draft and implement irrevocable trusts, ILITs, SLATs and GRATs.
• Meet with clients in person to understand goals and build plans.
• Collaborate with the team to customize plans for various income levels.
