Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Trust & Estates Associate to join our client’s robust legal team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in trust and estate law, with strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities include managing all aspects of trust and estate planning, drafting wills and trusts, probate work, and coordinating with clients and professionals to meet estate goals. Connecticut/NY admission is required.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in Connecticut and/or New York.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in trust and estates law.
• Strong client relationships and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of trust and estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
• Provide counsel on trust administration, probate, estate tax, and related matters.
• Collaborate with clients to meet estate planning goals while minimizing legal risk.
• Conduct legal research and stay current on trust and estate developments.
• Represent clients in probate court and handle trust/estate litigation.
• Coordinate with attorneys, tax professionals, and financial advisors to align estate plans.
• Participate in business development to expand the trusts and estates practice.
