Seasonal Groundskeeper

Reports To: Field Supervisor

Job Summary

This position requires a dependable, motivated Seasonal Groundskeeper for the June‑November season. As Seasonal Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the daily outdoor upkeep and overall aesthetic maintenance of the cemetery. The position requires attention to detail and a compassionate manner when working around families and visitors. This is a physically demanding, hands‑on role that is essential to keeping our cemetery clean, safe, peaceful, and welcoming to the families we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate landscape maintenance equipment such as push mower, line trimmer, leaf blower, and hedge trimmer.
• Rake leaves, remove debris, and clear fallen branches on the property.
• Maintain landscaping, plantings, and cemetery features.
• Support the grounds team with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 50lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Experience with landscaping or groundskeeping is a plus, but training is available.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently.
• Detail‑oriented; good time‑management skills; team oriented.
• Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Maintain a polite, compassionate, and respectful demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday (In Person) from 7:30am – 4:30pm

Compensation

Compensation range for this position is: $18.78 - $19.46 per hour.

This position is considered non‑exempt and eligible for overtime.
