Job summary

Concord Community Schools in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain a clean and safe school environment. You will perform daily cleaning, restroom sanitation, waste management, and basic maintenance tasks to support a productive learning atmosphere.

The role requires a valid driver's license and reliable performance; you will assist with site operations, move furniture, support event setups, and report maintenance issues to the Building Lead as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six to twelve months custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, classrooms, and office spaces daily.
• Clean restrooms daily, including sanitizing sinks, toilets, urinals, and mirrors; dust fixtures weekly.
• Empty trash containers daily; sanitize receptacles weekly or as needed.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and desks daily; straighten desks and chairs.
• Replace light bulbs and ceiling tiles as needed; maintain HVAC filters during breaks.
• Report maintenance issues to Building Lead and assist with equipment upkeep.
• Remove snow and debris from entryways and sidewalks; secure building daily.
• Move furniture and assist with event setup when required.
