Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver for Freedom Elementary School to safely transport students and staff, perform daily pre-trip inspections, and maintain orderly conduct on routes and field trips.

The role requires a CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid DMV license. Bilingual skills are a plus, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement required.
• Current DMV license.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives bus on designated routes when school is in session.
• Transports students and staff on field or activity trips.
• Inspects bus daily before passenger transport.
• Cleans and refuels bus as needed.
• Ensures communication device is functional before each trip.
• Reports mechanical issues, traffic violations, or accidents promptly.
• Maintains order and discipline per district policies.
• Tracks route timing and efficiency data as needed.
• Maintains required records and reports.
• Ensures no child is left unattended on the bus.
• Participates in bus drills and trainings.
