Job summary

Main Bank in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Shift/Operations Officer to support administrative officers and ensure trust department activities run smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis.

The role involves posting receipts, settling funds, setting up and closing accounts, trading entries, maintaining tickler systems, and preparing customer statements, among other duties. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Post daily receipts to clients account and bills for current and next day.
• Settle funding and balance daily with banks such as Bank of New York, Fidelity, Invesco, etc.
• Set up new accounts as needed and close accounts as necessary.
• Complete trade order entries — mutual funds and money market trades.
• Pend & affirm stock/bond trades.
• Maintain tickler system and conduct tickler meetings (when applicable).
• Mail out customer statements monthly (when applicable).
• Post and collect trust fees monthly.
• Set up and daily maintain assets (e.g. marketable securities, real estate, mineral assets, receivables) and daily posting of dividends/interest/income receipts.
• Complete distribution requests for trust clients.
• Represent the bank to the customer and our professional vendors in a courteous/professional manner and furnish prompt, efficient, and accurate services.
• Give attention to detail and provide excellent communication skills.
• Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and professional environment.
• Participate in training sessions as required by supervisor.
• Process checks to be printed and distributed next day.
• Maintain and organize digital file cabinet as necessary.
• Assist departmental personnel on specific duties as assigned.
