Job summary

Trident Trust is seeking a Trust Officer to lead a small team of Trust Administrators and Assistants in Sioux Falls. You will oversee discretionary requests, transactions, and compliance in day-to-day operations while maintaining precise records.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in Trust Administration, strong communication, and project management skills. The role emphasizes regulatory coordination and client relationship management within a compliant framework.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in Trust Administration or related management roles.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and cloud-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Review, complete, and present discretionary requests to Trust Administration Committee.
• Review, complete, and approve daily transactions and ensure accurate processing.
• Ensure outside tax preparation procedures are followed and completed.
• Participate in conversations with regulators and auditors, aiding deliverables.
• Administer a portfolio of key clients and complex structures.
• Manage assets across varied classes and ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain up-to-date account files and conduct reviews as needed.
• Oversee annual administration, risk, and investment reviews.
• Review account closing/termination packages and asset additions/revocations.
• Handle all aspects of Trust Administration and ongoing relationship management.
• Assist with new business development and prepare new account paperwork.

Education

Associate degree in business, legal, finance, accounting

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, legal, finance, accounting

Juris Doctorate (preferred)
