Job summary

JTC Group in South Dakota seeks an Associate Trust Operations Officer – Private Client to join a small team delivering back-office support, AML compliance, and liaison with trust accounting software, banks, and custodians.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field, strong MS Word/Excel skills, ability to interpret financial statements and legal documents, and excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, legal or related field.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and related software.
Ability to interpret financial statements and legal documents.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Must have ability to multi-task.
Understanding of trust tax reporting (1041, 1042, FBAR, FATCA) desired.
Understanding of trust compliance regulations desired.

Responsibilities

Ensure payments for trust clients are made timely and in accordance with the trust document.
Maintain and update client data in trust accounting system.
Enter trust holdings onto the accounting system based on legal documentation.
Ensure client statements are provided to clients and answer questions regarding the accounting.
Collect tax filings for mailing and verify payments are coded accurately.
Process tax payments to the appropriate taxing authority.
