Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year

A bit about us: Our client is a highly respected, independently owned boutique trust and wealth management firm specializing in helping high-net-worth families preserve, protect, and transition wealth across generations. Unlike larger financial institutions, this firm delivers a highly personalized approach to trust administration, estate planning support, fiduciary services, and long-term wealth strategies.
With a collaborative team of experienced professionals and a client-first philosophy, the organization has built an outstanding reputation by developing lasting relationships and providing customized solutions rather than one-size-fits-all advice.
This confidential opportunity is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, one of the nation\'s premier trust jurisdictions and one of the fastest-growing financial centers in the Midwest.

Why join us? Join a firm where your impact is visible.
This isn\'t a large corporate bank where you\'re one of hundreds of employees. Here, you\'ll work alongside leadership, have a seat at the table, and play an important role in the firm\'s continued growth.
Walk into an established book of business.
You'll inherit an existing portfolio of trust relationships, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional service while identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand client relationships.
Boutique culture with entrepreneurial energy.
The firm is evolving and growing. They\'re looking for professionals who embrace change, enjoy solving problems, and bring positive energy to the team every day.
Meaningful client relationships.
Success here is measured by trust, service, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships—not simply transactions.
Growth-minded leadership.
The company values accountability, continuous learning, collaboration, flexibility, and people who take ownership of their work while helping improve the organization for the future.

Job Details
Position Overview
As a Trust Officer, you\'ll serve as the primary relationship manager for an established portfolio of trust clients while partnering closely with internal leadership, attorneys, CPAs, investment professionals, and beneficiaries.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical trust administration experience with outstanding interpersonal skills. You\'ll be expected to build confidence with clients, navigate complex fiduciary matters, and contribute to the firm\'s continued growth.
This is a highly visible role where professionalism, responsiveness, and relationship management are just as important as technical expertise.
Responsibilities
Administer a portfolio of trust accounts while ensuring compliance with fiduciary responsibilities and governing documents.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors.
Build long-term trusted relationships through exceptional communication and service.
Conduct client meetings and provide guidance regarding trust administration and fiduciary matters.
Coordinate trust distributions, account reviews, and ongoing account maintenance.
Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and support future business growth.
Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives as the organization continues to evolve.
Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless client experience.
Stay current on trust regulations, fiduciary best practices, and industry developments.

What We\'re Looking For
5+ years of Trust Administration or Trust Officer experience.
Strong understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, trust administration, estate planning concepts, and wealth management.
Experience managing client relationships and serving as the trusted advisor for high-net-worth clients.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude with the ability to adapt in a changing, growing environment.
Someone who enjoys building relationships—not just managing accounts.
Self-starter who takes ownership, solves problems, and works well in a collaborative boutique setting.
CTFA designation is a plus but not required.

What Success Looks Like
The ideal candidate is someone clients immediately trust, teammates genuinely enjoy working with, and leadership can rely on. You\'re organized without being rigid, adaptable without losing focus, and energized by helping clients navigate important life decisions.

If you\'re looking for an opportunity where your experience is valued, your relationships matter, and you can help shape the future of a growing trust company, we\'d love to have a confidential conversation.

Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
