Job summary

UMB Bank is seeking a senior fiduciary advisor to build and expand client relationships while providing comprehensive fiduciary administration for estates, trusts, IRAs, and custody accounts. You will coordinate wealth strategy planning, deliver investment management when appropriate, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has extensive trust experience, CTFA/CFP designation, and strong MS Office skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and

Qualifications

  • College degree
  • 10 years of technical trust and planning experience
  • CTFA or CFP designation
  • One advanced degree relative to financial & estate planning (preferred)
  • Juris doctorate (preferred)
  • Supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Ability to sell; competitive and results oriented
  • Investment knowledge and understanding
  • Extensive knowledge of Trust and Bank products and services (i.e., investments, insurance, brokerage, private banking, retirement planning)
  • Proven problem solving, dispute resolution and assistance with litigation management
  • Highly autonomous decision-making
  • Current knowledge of company policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and cultivate internal and external relationships
  • Active in community and professional organizations (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Build long-term client relationships and enhance existing relationships through quality customer service
  • Provides proper fiduciary administration for all aspects of assigned accounts, including probate estates, conservatorships, personal trusts (inter vivos and testamentary), custody, agency, IRA, and other assigned accounts
  • Develop, maintain and manage both internal and external relationships to increase revenue from assigned book of accounts
  • Ensures compliance with the Bank's fiduciary duties in the administration of estate, trust, IRA and custody accounts
  • Provides solution-oriented planning for clients and coordination of wealth strategy planning goals and objectives
  • Provides investment management services for clients when appropriate
  • Maintains current knowledge of UMB policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations
