Trust & Estates Paralegal
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Paralegal to join its growing private wealth practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients on sophisticated trust administration, estate planning, probate, and related business matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing matters while providing exceptional client service and administrative support.
Responsibilities
Estate & Trust Administration
- Assist attorneys with trust and estate administration matters
- Prepare and organize legal documents related to probate and trust administration
- Coordinate filings with courts, government agencies, and other parties
- Assist with gathering and organizing financial and estate-related records
- Support attorneys throughout estate administration from opening through final distribution
Document Preparation & Management
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Prepare letters, memoranda, and client communications
- Ensure all required supporting documentation and attachments are included with filings and correspondence
- Maintain organized electronic and physical client files
Case & Matter Management
- Manage deadlines, calendars, and matter timelines
- Monitor case progression and proactively assist attorneys in meeting deadlines
- Coordinate meetings with clients, witnesses, accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals
- Track outstanding documents and follow up on pending items
Research & Filing
- Conduct legal and factual research
- Compile and summarize information for attorneys
- File documents with courts, government agencies, and business filing offices
- Support entity-related filings and maintenance matters when needed
Client Relations
- Communicate with clients regarding document collection and scheduling
- Assist clients with administrative aspects of estate and trust matters
- Provide responsive and professional client service throughout the representation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Trusts & Estates, Business, or related paralegal experience
- Experience supporting estate planning, probate, trust administration, or related legal matters
- Strong legal drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional file management and deadline-tracking skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
- Proactive approach and ability to anticipate attorney and client needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with probate and trust administration matters
- Experience filing documents with courts and governmental agencies
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems and digital document management
- Experience using litigation or matter-management technology platforms

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000 – $89,000 annually
- Compensation based on experience, education, and qualifications
- Eligibility for discretionary bonus opportunities
