Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in estates and trusts in a law firm setting.
• J.D. from ABA-approved law school; in good standing.
• Active Wisconsin Bar admission or timely admission required.
• Strong project management, drafting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft complex estate plans and business succession documents for high net worth individuals.
• Draft complex charitable giving documents.
• Counsel clients on income, gift, estate and generation-skipping tax planning.
• Assist with probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates.
• Process Federal gift and estate tax returns.

Qualified candidates must have 4-7 years of experience and must have substantial experience in the following: drafting complex estate plan and business succession planning documents for high net worth individuals; drafting complex charitable giving documents; counseling clients on income, gift, estate and generation-skipping tax planning; assisting with probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates; processing Federal gift and estate tax returns; and tax exempt organization planning. Strong project management, document drafting and review, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. To be considered, a candidate must hold a J.D. from an ABA-approved law school and be in good standing and an active member of the bar of the state in which the candidate is admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Wisconsin Bar will be a condition of employment.
