Huntington National Bank is seeking a Trust Advisor III to join the Private Bank client relationship team. You will manage a book of trust relationships and serve as the primary contact for co-fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and advisors.

The role partners with other Private Bank team members to deliver a full suite of services and supports administrators with complex trust accounts. Strong communication and multi-tasking are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five+ years of moderate to complex Trust Administration experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Wealth & Investment trust and estate accounts of moderate to high complexity.
  • Provide operating instructions to Trust support staff and ensure proper handling of relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties involved in a trust relationship.
  • Develop new relationships and cross-sell to expand assets under management.
  • Maintain relationships with attorneys, accountants, and financial planners.

Description

Summary:

The Trust Advisor III (TA III) is a member of the Huntington Private Bank client relationship team responsible for administration of accounts where the bank serves in a fiduciary capacity. The TA III manages a book of trust relationships and serves as the primary point of contact for co-fiduciaries, beneficiaries and advisors. The TA III partners with other Private Bank team members to provide our full array of services to Private Bank clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the complete administration of assigned Wealth & Investment trust and estate accounts of moderate to high complexity.
  • Provides operating instructions and procedures to Trust support staff to ensure appropriate handling of account relationships.
  • Coordinates administrative functions with internal and external parties with a defined interest in any aspect of the trust relationship.
  • Responsible for developing new relationships, retaining existing customers, and cross-selling to gather additional assets to expand customer relationships.
  • Works to maintain strong relationships with centers of influence including attorneys, accountants, insurance agents, and financial planners.
  • May be appointed to serve on internal trust committees as assigned by management.
  • Key OCR (Optimal Customer Relationship) position: builds strong relationships across all business segments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five or more years of moderate to complex Trust Administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor, Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CFTA) designation
  • Demonstrated success working with high net worth banking customers
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Financial advisory/sales experience in banking, investment, or insurance products and services
  • Knowledge of Private Financial Group products is beneficial.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor, along with a comfort level with participating in client meetings.
  • PC and internet proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task
