Carter Lumber is seeking a Truss Plant Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of a professional truss plant, ensuring performance, cost control, and achievement of sales goals. You will manage the plant's inventory, lead staff, and coordinate with the field and internal departments.

The role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. This position offers opportunities for growth within a growing regional network.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in the truss industry.
• Familiar with floor/roof truss manufacturing and pricing.
• Familiar with delivery and fleet operations.
• Experience dealing with contractors.
• Experience analyzing inventory activity.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Outgoing personality with ability to build customer relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manages and implements the overall operations of the truss plant, ensuring policy execution and coordinating with market management.
• Directs and manages all plant staff, schedules, coaching, and corrective actions.
• Leads inside sales coordination with the General Manager to monitor sales and profits.
