Synectics Inc. is seeking an experienced Truss Estimator in Northern California to join a growing structural building components manufacturer. You will review plans, perform roof and floor truss takeoffs, and prepare accurate quotes while collaborating with sales, design, and operations.

You will identify pricing drivers, coordinate with design teams on complex conditions, and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous construction estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
• Strong understanding of residential construction and framing.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors and construction professionals.

Responsabilités

• Review architectural and structural plans for residential and commercial projects.
• Perform roof and floor truss takeoffs.
• Determine quantities, spans, sizes, profiles, and special conditions.
• Identify design, engineering, and constructability issues that may affect pricing.
• Prepare accurate and timely project estimates and quotations.
• Price lumber, hardware, engineering, delivery, and related project costs.
• Understand markup and gross margin and maintain pricing discipline.
• Coordinate with design teams regarding unusual or complex project conditions.
• Communicate with builders, contractors, framers, and internal teams.
• Clarify project scope, assumptions, exclusions, and customer requirements.
• Follow up on quotes and support sales efforts.
• Identify potential estimating issues before projects enter production.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
