Job summary

84 Lumber Company in Cartersville, GA is hiring Truss Builders for our fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will assemble roof and floor trusses using jigs, nail guns and hand tools, reading engineered drawings and blueprints to meet production timelines.

Experience in construction or general labor is welcomed; training available for motivated individuals. Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs, stand long shifts, and work 8–10 hour days, with overtime possible.

Overview

Location: 91-B Riverside Dr., Cartersville, GA

84 Lumber is hiring Truss Builders for our fast-paced manufacturing facility in Cartersville, GA. We are seeking experienced candidates as well as motivated individuals ready to learn a skilled trade and grow their careers.

If you have experience in construction, framing, carpentry, warehouse operations, landscaping, concrete, roofing, plumbing, painting, or general labor, we encourage you to apply.

Builders are responsible for the efficient assembly and manual plating of individual trusses in accordance with shop drawings within the time frame determined by the supervisor and in keeping with the Quality Standards for Roofs and Floors.

Schedule

• 1st shift 6:00am -2:30pm
• Monday–Friday
• 2nd shift - 3:30pm-12:00am
• Overtime may be available, including Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Assemble roof and floor trusses using jigs, nail guns, and hand tools

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Truss Builder experience
• Ability to read a tape measure and use power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs repeatedly
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Requirements (Read Carefully)

• Must be 18+
• Must show up on time, every day
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work 8–10 hour shifts on your feet
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must be comfortable working in heat, cold, and dust
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed

• Work boots required on day one
