Job summary

True Dermatology in Cullman, AL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers during patient visits, prepare exam rooms, collect patient information, and assist with procedures.

Ideal candidate is positive, energetic, organized, and capable of multitasking; MA Certification, CPR, and First Aid are preferred; EMR experience and dermatology exposure are assets.

Qualifications

• 2 years of combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experience.
• MA Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification are preferred.
• Hands-on experience in a clinical setting; EMR experience; dermatology or surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms for each appointment, ensuring cleanliness and stock them with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Focus on the patient experience.
• Responsible for gathering patient information, informed consent, and payment information.
• Assist the physician with minor procedures, patient charting, uploading imaging, and scheduling patient follow-up appointments.
• Provide detailed post-care instructions to the patient and/or family members.
• Accurately complete pathology and laboratory requisitions as required.
• Complete logs and send specimens to the laboratory.
• Perform other tasks and duties as directed.

Our team is seeking a Medical Assistant with a career in dermatology. The ideal Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multitask. Our team members are responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultations and procedures, through the following responsibilities:
