Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a Night Shift Shuttle Driver (DOT) to move trucks between parking, warehouse dock, and fuel/truck wash areas. The role includes running shuttles to various yards within the market as needed.

The position requires a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background checks and physical/drug screening. Expect a night schedule Sunday–Thursday, with variations based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of driving experience in a Class A CDL vehicle.
• Must have a good driving record with no more than 1 moving violation in 3 years.
• Must pass background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must possess a valid state Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Move trucks from parking to warehouse docking area.
• Spot loaded and unloaded trailers at the assigned dock area.
• Connect loaded semitrailers to tractor for Tractor-Trailer-Truck Driver.
• Fuel tractors and move trailers to truck wash.
• Run Routes/Shuttles as needed.

The Truck Yard (Hostler) - Shuttle Driver DOT position will drive trucks from the parking area to the warehouse docking doors and other locations at the Division (Fueling Station, Truck Wash) as needed. This position will also run shuttles from the Division to various Shuttle Yards within our market as required.

• Move trucks from parking to warehouse docking area.
• Spot loaded and unloaded trailers at the assigned dock area.
• Connect loaded semitrailers to tractor for Tractor-Trailer-Truck Driver.
• Fuel tractors and move trailers to truck wash.
• Run Routes/Shuttles as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of driving experience in a Class A CDL vehicle
• Must have a good driving record with no more than 1 moving violation within the past three years
• Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Must possess a valid state issued Class A CDL
• Double/Triple endorsement preferred but not required (will need to obtain endorsement if hired)
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. We use dash cameras which leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events and improve driver safety performance. The videos are also used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers are required to sign a consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.

Note: This is a night position. Typical shift will be Sunday - Thursday from 3pm - 12am but may vary depending on business needs.
