Meijer in Avon, Ohio seeks a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain welcoming, well‑run Fresh departments. You will build connections with customers, share product knowledge, and keep displays fresh and appealing.

The role emphasizes helping customers, stocking and merchandising, and using store technology to complete tasks accurately. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Previous retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
