Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to create a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will build connections with customers and teammates, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are full and visually appealing.

This role involves stocking, rotating, merchandising, using technology, and following food safety procedures across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
