Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service, share product knowledge, and maintain attractive displays in Fresh departments. You will interact with customers, help locate items, and ensure shelves are stocked and compliant with safety standards.

The role supports teamwork across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, with opportunities for growth and a weekly pay policy. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
