Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a hands-on sanitation associate to wash and sanitize company vehicles, inside and out, at our Michigan facility. You will support the sanitation lead, maintain equipment, and follow IPS safety standards to protect our operations.

Candidates should be able to perform hard physical labor, work a demanding schedule including evenings or weekends when required, and collaborate closely with a team to maintain a safe, clean production environment.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform hard physical labor.

• Ability to follow standardized instructions and procedures.
• On-call work including emergencies and after-hours coverage.
• Operates washing equipment and related tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes trucks, trailers, cars, and pickups as needed.
• Assists with maintenance and proper storage of washing equipment.
• Complies with IPS safety requirements and company policies.
• Works with the team to meet daily department goals.
• Assists with facility and grounds upkeep and environmental compliance.
• Reads and understands emergency notification processes for the site.
