Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating truck scales in a scrap metal or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and their classifications.
• Familiarity with DOT and state Weights & Measures regulations.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and remain alert in a busy yard environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh inbound and outbound trucks using certified scales.
• Identify and document ferrous and non-ferrous material types.
• Issue weight tickets and ensure all documentation is compliant.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and scale operators.
• Follow company and state regulations regarding certified weights.
