Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Valdosta, GA is seeking a skilled Truck Shop Refrigeration Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on TRUs and trailers. The role covers electrical, climate control, APU/heater, and brake systems, plus tire services and warranty processing.

you will document all work orders, ensure DOT compliance, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain fleet reliability. This full-time onsite position offers hourly pay and extensive benefit programs.

Qualifications

3 years’ experience in trailer refrigeration maintenance and repair (e.g. diagnostic and component replacement)
EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification
Valid state-issued driver’s license
Brake inspection qualified per FMCSA 396.25
Vehicle inspection qualified per FMCSA 396.19

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on TRUs following OEM procedures.
Maintain and repair trailers (electrical, lighting, landing gear, interior/exterior panels).
Service and repair tractor-trailer braking systems (hydraulic/air/ABS/EBS).
Perform tire services and advanced axle alignments with electronic equipment.
Receive fuel deliveries, sample fuel, monitor levels, ensure safety, document activities.
Process warranty repairs and claims with accurate documentation.
Diagnose issues, order parts, and maintain tractors, trailers, forklifts, and shop equipment.
Complete work orders and logs; ensure DOT compliance.
Collaborate with technicians to maintain reliability and excellence.
