Job summary

ADUSA Transportation is seeking a motivated shop assistant to perform basic tasks in the transportation truck shop, including cleaning, refueling, and light maintenance. You will work in a warehouse environment at our Elloree, SC facility.

On-site training is provided with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and following standard procedures to support the distribution network’s operations. This role requires physical work, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and clear communication; you will help

Qualifications

Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 70 lbs.
Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use tools required.
Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and implement solutions.
Ability to meet production standards set by the company.

Responsibilities

Handle basic preventative maintenance with supervision.
Conduct equipment washing.
Complete vehicle refueling.
Perform basic service line function (e.g. Check tire air pressure, change lights).
Training is primarily conducted on-site and on-the-job.
Strive to find more efficient ways to do the job and seek to reduce costs and improve labor productivity.
Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with ADUSA Transportation standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
