Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a DST Truck Mechanic A for the Springdale, L.H. Garage. The role covers preventive maintenance, diagnosing engine issues, and minor welding. You will document work orders and may travel to remote sites with a valid license.

Applicants must read schematics, perform basic math, and use diagnostic programs. You must provide your own tools by the end of a 90-day probation period. Tyson is an EO employer.

Qualifications

• Three months of employment in the last six months with a single company.
• Prior Tyson Team members eligible for rehiring after a 180-day waiting period.
• Prior Tyson Team members cannot have worked 3 times or more for Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair truck engine and systems using diagnostic programs.
• Perform minor structural welding and cutting tasks.
• Read and interpret instructions, manuals, and schematics.
• Document information and complete required daily work orders.
• May perform service calls on equipment at remote locations; valid driver’s license required.
• Advance to ME02 within 12 months of hire; sign-off by management.
• Show proficiency in PM1/PM2 for trucks or trailers; brake inspection certs/ wheel end & basic electrical knowledge.
