Job summary

DTI Trucks is seeking a dependable and motivated Lot Technician to support daily dealership and service operations. This position is responsible for maintaining organization and efficiency across the lot, assisting the service department, transporting vehicles, and performing light mechanical and maintenance work on commercial trucks and equipment.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable operating medium and heavy-duty trucks.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy equipment and parts.
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform light mechanical and maintenance work including replacing lights and bulbs.
  • Install or repair mudflaps.
  • Minor truck repairs and adjustments.
  • General lot and vehicle upkeep.
  • Move and organize trucks throughout dealership lots.
  • Transport trucks to and from service bays.
  • Retrieve and deliver parts for the service department.
  • Transfer trucks between dealership locations, vendors, customers, and off-site facilities.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional lot appearance.
  • Conduct basic inspections and report any damage or mechanical concerns.
  • Assist sales and service departments with operational needs as required.
  • Ensure all vehicle movements are completed safely and efficiently.
