Reading Truck Group is seeking a Truck Installation Technician III in Phoenix to install specialty truck equipment under supervision, including service bodies, stake bodies, and other accessories. The role emphasizes safety rules and PPE compliance, with hands-on welding and setup tasks.

The position supports growth within Reading Truck, offering a sign-on bonus and opportunities to work on a wide range of upfitting projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding skills (metal and aluminum).
• 2+ years of electrical wiring experience.
• Ability to build schematics.
• Hydraulics knowledge is a plus.
• Independent ability to troubleshoot.
• Operate power hand tools and have basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies, plows, and commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Basic weld experience is helpful.
• Train with other mechanics as needed.
• Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor/Manager.

How You Will Make an Impact

A Truck Installation Technician III at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to complete the installation of specialty truck equipment

such as service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories.

The Nuts and Bolts

Follow safety rules and comply with all PPE requirements.

• Install truck bodies, plows, commercial truck accessories
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Basic weld experience (helpful)
• Train with other mechanics as needed
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Required Credentials

• Complex Hydraulics knowledge and experience (a plus)
