Job summary

Wastequip is seeking an experienced Hoist Installer to mount hoists on truck chassis. The role involves planning installation steps, performing MIG welds, operating torches, and using hand and power tools to ensure proper clearances and weld quality.

The position requires basic mechanical aptitude with experience reading prints, and familiarity with electric and hydraulic systems. EHS safety training must be completed, and the work is performed on a manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Basic math, tape measure reading, fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of electric, hydraulics and pneumatics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the truck chassis with the hoist model to plan installation steps.
• Perform MIG welds along vertical and horizontal weld lines and inspect bead size.
• Set up and use torch, grind excess weld, slag or splatter as needed.
• Assemble basic electric and hydraulic components (PTOs and hydraulic pumps).
• Able to pass EHS safety training.
