Job summary

Reading Truck Group in Florida seeks an assembler for the Van Shop, assembling specialty truck equipment for van bodies or box trucks. Work under supervision to fit components using drills, riveters, and power tools, measure materials, and install floors, lining, insulation, and fixtures.

Wiring for lights and equipment is included; basic welding/electrical skills are a plus but not required. HS diploma or GED preferred; production facility with heat/cold exposure.

Qualifications

• Basic carpentry skills.
• Basic welding & electrical wiring skills a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate power hand tools & read a tape measure.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Measure and cut wood and metal materials.
• Install wood floors, interior lining, insulation and fixtures using hand tools; power tools as needed.
• Install electrical wiring for lights and other equipment according to procedures.
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
