Job summary

Holland, L.P. in North Dakota is seeking a Driver/Operator to support coal, coke and limestone deliveries to American Crystal Sugar Co. You will operate end dump, belly dump or live bottom trailers and may handle track mobile equipment as needed.

Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL, at least 1 year of truck driving experience, and the ability to read car IDs and prepare reports. We offer on-site work with safety rules and equal opportunity employment.

• Demonstrated math, reading, and writing skills to read car ID numbers and prepare reports.
• Satisfactory completion of all company-training program for Driver/Operators.
• Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
• Maintain valid Class A CDL and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy

Job description

To assist in delivery of Coal, Coke & Limestone to American Crystal Sugar Co & additional customers using end dump, belly dump, or live bottom trailers. May also be required to operate track mobile, and aid in stacking operations at the unload site, and equipment transportation on lowboy trailers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Visually inspect truck & trailer for safe operations.
• Maintain all DOT required logs and vehicle inspection records.
• Follow all Holland, L.P. & American Crystal Sugar safety rules on site, and at all factories.
• Must meet delivery time requirements for route that is assigned to you.
• Keep coal free of contaminates and deliver to coal storage bunker or stockpile at customer.
• All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing, walking, bending, and stretching are required to perform the job safely and successfully.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools, hammers, and the ability to move 25 pounds are regularly required.
• Vision must be sufficient for driving, and inspection of trucks and all other equipment required for the purpose of material handling.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions.
• Exposure to Coal dust from coal unloading, stacking operations, truck loading & unloading.
• Exposure to silica dust from limestone unloading.
• Exposure to gasoline & fuel vapors when fueling trucks and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
