Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Truck Driver to operate wheeled military vehicles, manage cargo loading and unloading, and ensure safety during transport across diverse terrains and routes. You may prepare vehicles for movement by air, rail, or vessel and report any deficiencies discovered during operation.

Through training, you’ll gain skills applicable to civilian trucking, moving, or bus work, while earning a regular paycheck and access to tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience with driver education programs or instruction is a plus.
• Interest in driving and mechanics for vehicle upkeep and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
