Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Truck Driver responsible for transporting cargo and supplies, operating wheeled vehicles across varied terrain, and ensuring safety during movements. This role supports the Guard’s missions and readiness.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT); you’ll learn Soldiering skills and driving multiple military vehicles. Paid training, tuition assistance, and a regular paycheck accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Must be enlistee in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a high school graduate or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Operate all wheeled vehicles and equipment over various terrain.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by air, rail, or vessel.
