Job summary

Flowchem seeks an experienced over-the-road truck driver for its Prairie View, Texas site. The role requires commuting to Minot, ND for pickup and load, with weekly remote parking allowed where safe. Monday–Friday schedule with possible weekend work; DOT and tanker endorsements mandatory.

You will deliver chemicals using a diesel truck, perform safety checks, and maintain equipment and logs to meet customer delivery requirements. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma.
• Must have a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement and Medical Card.
• Three (3) years commercial driving experience in the past five years, aligned with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT rules.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record for past 5 years.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Experience with forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers and gauges is preferred.
• Experience handling products in various packaging including bulk and drums is preferred.
• Experience in customer relations is preferred.
• Experience performing warehouse duties including preventative maintenance, inventory and ordering of chemicals, receiving shipments, coordinating warehouse for storage, and operation of equipment is preferred.
• Awareness of chemical safety and spill response is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers chemicals to customers, plants and warehouse locations using a diesel, multi-geared bobtail truck/pup and/or tractor-trailer.
• Performs daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections to keep the vehicle in safe, operable condition.
• Loads trailers and schedules daily runs to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Maintains up-to-date delivery location maps and complies with DOT hazmat regulations and homeland security guidelines.
• Maintains driver hours of service and logs in the logbook.
• Communicates with fleet office and supervisor to report field problems or safety hazards.
• Wears safety gear at all times during delivery operations and continuously improves driving/safety skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

TOTAL COMPENSATION (PAY) PACKAGE INCLUDES MONTHLY BONUS, PER DIEM AND SALARY (OUR HIGHEST EARNING DRIVER IN 2025 GROSSED $115,000.00)

The Role

Our site in Prairie View Texas is seeking a over the road truck driver to join our team. Can be living in any location that is commutable to our Minot, North Dakota site to pickup and load the truck or it is possible to park the truck at your home at the end of each week if you can provide a safe parking location. This role is Monday-Friday, with work hours as needed to complete the job per Federal driving regulations. Occasional weekend work may be required.

What You'll Do

Primarily responsible for providing customer delivery of chemicals and safely operating a diesel, multi-geared bobtail truck/pup and/or tractor- trailer combination vehicle over heavily congested city highways, rolling and mountainous terrain, rural and oil lease roads. Responsible for the preventative maintenance of any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants and/or warehouse locations.

• Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates dedication to and support of EH&S principles and values; champions safety as vital.
• Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally encouraged scope of this position.
• Load trailers and schedule daily runs to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition at all times by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections.
• Responsible for accurate up-to-date delivery location maps and operates in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelines.
• Maintain driver's hours of service and logbook reporting.
• Maintain regular communication with the fleet office and supervisor in order to report field problems and/or safety hazards.
• Wear appropriate safety gear at all times during delivery operations.
• Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills.
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment.
• DOT Compliant
• Tanker Endorsement – minimum 1 year

What We Seek

• Awareness of chemical safety and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill preferred.

Physical - Requires manual lifting of up to 50 lbs. capable of standing and kneeling for a duration of time. Position may require the pulling of heavy hoses, strapping stock, getting on top of the transport.
