84 Lumber is hiring a full-time Truck Driver to deliver materials to customer job sites and to maintain the lumber yard and warehouse. A valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, along with forklift training/certification.

The role includes loading/unloading freight, ensuring safety, and clear communication with management. Qualifications include being at least 21, English proficiency, and FMCSA compliance.

Competenze

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand signs.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide a copy of your Motor Vehicle Record annually as required by law.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial vehicle under FMCSA standards.
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial vehicle under FMCSA rules.
• Complete or have completed a driver’s road test with a valid certificate.
• Depending on the vehicle, you may need a CDL.
• A valid Medical Exam certificate/card may be required.

Responsibilities

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record. Responsibilities include:

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
• Forklift training, certification, and operation
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management
• Other duties as assigned

• Keeps management aware of any delays or discrepancies

Qualifications

Be at least 21 years old.

• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test and has been issued a valid and current certificate of driver's road test, or its equivalent, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
