Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company, seeks a Mileage truck driver in Waskom, TX, to run a pre-planned regional route delivering freight to customers. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

The role requires a Class A CDL and at least 2 years of verifiable OTR experience, with strict adherence to DOT rules and safety procedures. The position involves securing cargo, completing logs and DVIRs, performing inspections, and coordinating maintenance with the shop.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent OTR verifiable tractor trailer experience (Flatbed preferred).
• Compliance with state and federal DOT rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck pulling flatbed on a pre-planned regional route.
• Secure freight to flatbed trailer with chains, binders and straps; no tarping.
• Read maps and plan trips; conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete driver paperwork (logs, trip reports, DVIRs).
• Schedule maintenance with the shop and inspect motor vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation and cargo securement.
• Record operational data and report vehicle or equipment malfunctions.
