Job summary

Meyer is seeking a Cross Dock Lead to oversee cross dock operations, supervise a staff of truck drivers, and drive company trucks to make deliveries. This role ensures timely customer service while maintaining DOT compliance.

Compensation includes a $67,500 annual salary with a Monday–Friday schedule, and eligibility for the Lead Monthly Bonus. Benefits include health coverage, 401K with company match, paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience driving 26–28 ft box trucks or other CMV over 10,001 lbs.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
• Forklift certification within three months of joining.
• Valid truck driver license with state-specific endorsement; no restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross dock operations and maintain warehouse inventory and space.
• Supervise non-CDL truck drivers and train new staff.
• Drive company trucks to deliver to customers on routes.
• Load and unload freight from trucks and respond to customer inquiries via phone or email.

Works closely with internal departments to ensure product is delivered to customers in a timely manner while staying compliant with DOT regulations.

Schedule for non-CDL Cross Dock Lead:

• $67,500.00 annual salary
• Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 5:00 pm (End Time Varies on Most Days Due To Workload / Coverage)
• Up to 80% driving per day

Cross Dock Lead duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversee Logistics cross dock operations, maintaining inventory levels and functionality of warehouse space.
• Supervise the staff of non-CDL truck drivers. Responsible for orientation and training of new truck driver staff.
• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers.
• Load and unload freight from trucks.
• Respond to all customer inquiries through phone or email.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Performs related duties as required, to include updated route directions, stop to stop, for all routes.
• Communicate with logistics manager and shop manager on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Ability to comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements for Cross Dock Lead:

• 1-3 years’ experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
• Previous warehouse experience and ability to operate a forklift or man lift preferred.
• Must obtain forklift certification within three (3) months of being on the job.
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state. No restrictions.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks, and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Ability to comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations.
