Job summary

MANCON is seeking a Truck Driver Light in Salem, VA to address customer needs, pick up and deliver parts for VDOT sites, and assist with inventory control. The role does not require a CDL.

The position is hourly, with a pay range of $13.00 to $19.08 per hour, depending on experience and certifications. The driver will perform customer service duties, manage part availability inquiries, operate a forklift, and support inventory and data entry tasks within our warehouse and travel to vendor

Qualifications

• 24-hour availability.
• Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience.
• Obtain and maintain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following: Attention to detail, meet and greet customers.
• Review requisition forms to ensure signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities.
• Answer questions regarding availability of parts.
• Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided.
• Inform customers when requested parts are available.
• Operate a forklift.
• Review, familiarize with and adhere to Product Group Catalog, Policy and Procedures Manual and MANCON SOPs and Safety Manual.
• Drive vehicle to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts and provide company documentation to vendors (tax-exempt form, credit references).
• Review invoices at vendor location for pricing and quantities and return products to MANCON in a timely fashion.
• Assist in generating invoices and entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system.
• Assist in physically receiving vendor orders and performing weekly/wall-to-wall inventories at site.
• Follow guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance and provide 24-hour support at VDOT locations during emergencies.
• Assist with inventory research projects and participate in SCM training.

Overview

This is an hourly position. The compensation range for this position is $13.00 to $19.08 per hour. Placement within this range will be based on a combination of relevant experience, certifications, and/or demonstrated skills that align with the role requirements.

Responsibilities

Parts Pick up

• Return products to MANCON location in a timely fashion

Data Entry Requirements

• Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system
• Assist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system

Inventory Management Requirements

• Assist in physically receiving vendor orders
• Assist in performing weekly inventory cycle counts
• Assist in performing counts during wall-to-wall inventories at site

Other Requirements

• Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Provide 24-hour support at the VDOT location during emergencies
• Assist with inventory research projects as requested
• Adhere to required procedures
• Assist Store Supervisor as assigned
• Participate in the SCM continuing training program

Qualifications

• 24-hour availability
• Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Delivery Driver experience
• Auto and/or heavy duty truck parts experience
• Inventory experience
• P1 or P2 ASE certification

Physical Requirements

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
