Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a safety‑conscious CDL Class A driver to operate various trucks and switch trailers at customer locations across Michigan. You will support daily dispatch, maintain accurate logs, and complete shipping documentation.

The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in an active environment. Expect a full‑time schedule Monday through Friday, with early start hours and routine vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CDL Class A license with no manual transmission restriction (E).
• Clear driving record required.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Lift up to 75 lbs with chaining.
• Legible handwriting and strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.
• Must be willing to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Drive company truck (Van Trailer, Highside, Switch Truck, Box Truck, Bulk Tanker or Tow Truck) and switch trailers at customer locations.
• Provide outstanding customer service as a company representative.
• Prepare shipping documents, weigh loads and perform initial material inspections.
• Maintain scale tickets, shippers, logbooks and trip reports.
• Complete and submit reports such as accident damage and traffic violations.
• Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
• Inspect loads and tarp/secure loads when necessary.
• Maintain interior of the truck and data entry for vendor codes and trip reports.
• Accept other duties as assigned.
• Complete daily vehicle inspection reports.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for driving a company truck, such as a Van Trailer, Highside, Switch Truck, Box Truck, Bulk Tanker or Tow Truck, and switching trailers or containers at customer account locations. Also responsible for other driving assignments as directed by Dispatch. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 5:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Service customer locations and always maintain good customer relations
• Provide outstanding customer service as a service representative for the company
• Prepare shipping documents for all loads, weigh all loads and perform initial material inspections
• Maintain paperwork for scale tickets, shippers, logbooks and trip reports
• Complete and submit necessary reports, such as accident damage and traffic violation reports
• Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection
• Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required
• Inspect loads and tarp/secure loads when necessary
• Maintain inside of truck
• Data entry for vendor codes and trip reports
• Other duties as necessary
• Daily vehicle inspection reports
