Job summary

PADNOS in Lansing, MI seeks a professional truck driver to operate company trucks including Van Trailer, Highside, Switch Truck, Box Truck or Bulk Tanker. You will switch trailers at customer sites, maintain safety, and support dispatch with accurate load documentation.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to pass pre-employment screenings, and comfort working outdoors on a schedule that includes early mornings and potential overtime; you will represent PADNOS with a focus on

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CDL Class A license with no manual transmission restriction (E).
• Must have a clear driving record.
• Lift up to 75 lbs. during chaining.
• Legible handwriting and strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.
• Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Be over 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Service customer locations and maintain good customer relations.
• Provide outstanding customer service as a service representative for the company.
• Prepare shipping documents for all loads, weigh loads and perform initial material inspections.
• Maintain paperwork for scale tickets, shippers, logbooks and trip reports.
• Complete and submit necessary reports, such as accident damage and traffic violation reports.
• Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection.
• Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
• Inspect loads and tarp/secure loads when necessary.
• Maintain inside of truck.
• Data entry for vendor codes and trip reports.
• Other duties as necessary.
• Daily vehicle inspection reports.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for driving a company truck, such as a Van Trailer, Highside, Switch Truck, Box Truck, Bulk Tanker or Tow Truck, and switching trailers or containers at customer account locations. Also responsible for other driving assignments as directed by Dispatch. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday (Saturday as needed)
• 5:00am-5:00pm
