Job summary

Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces in Denver, CO seeks a Truck Driver I to conduct local deliveries in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will load/unload, maintain logs, plan routes, and ensure safety and compliance with ELD regulations.

This individual conducts assigned deliveries. Loads and unloads trucks in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Loads and unloads materials* Drives truck to destinations and returns safely* Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations using Electronic Logging Device (ELD)* Prepares and maintains required documentation* Inspects truck equipment and supplies* Positions hazardous material trailer identification* Reads maps and plans routes to the load destination* Maintains acceptable driving record* Assists the needs of the customer* Assists in the distribution center as necessary or directed* Performs other tasks as required**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES*** Knowledge of Department of Transportation and state regulations and local laws pertaining to vehicle operations* Knowledge of truck hauling procedures* Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and safe handling procedures* Working knowledge of curtain side trucks* Skill in operating lift trucks* Ability to understand and follow directions* Ability to work independently and as a team**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS****EDUCATION**High School Graduate or GEDMust have a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s licenseHazardous material endorsement**EXPERIENCE**1+ yearsLocal experienceNo chargeable accidents in five years**CELL PHONE POLICY**CDL drivers must comply with all FMCSA regulations and are strictly prohibited from using a mobile device while driving.
