Job summary

XPO is seeking a Truck Driver with a valid CDL A to operate a tractor-trailer on home daily routes in Minnesota. You will safely deliver freight, load and unload, and provide excellent service to customers on a day shift.

Pay ranges from $31.29 to $38.60 per hour, with full health insurance on day one, 401(k) match, and paid time off. You must meet CDL A, DOT, and safety requirements and be willing to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Endorsements (hazardous materials, tank vehicle, doubles/triples) within 90 days of employment if applicable.
• Pass a DOT drug test and have no major positive tests in the last 3 years.
• DOT Medical Certification Card or ability to obtain one.
• Available to work a flexible schedule up to 12–14 hours per day (day/night/weekend).

About the Truck Driver Job

Pay, benefits and more:

• Expected pay range: $ 31.29 to $ 38.60 per hour. Pay is on an annual step progression. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triples
• Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads
• Load and unload freight

Truck Drivers are required to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.); move and position a converter dolly with an average weight/pull force of approximately 128 lbs.
• Safely climb in/out of a tractor cab/trailer
• Sit for extended periods in a truck tractor and/or on a forklift; safely operate heavy equipment and a forklift
• Walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery (including working outdoors in inclement weather)
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours, in all types of weather, while safely transporting hazardous/non-hazardous materials #PIQ

Pursuant to U.S. Department of Labor requirements, the worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and record.
