Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Georgia is seeking a Class A CDL driver to transport eggs and live poultry. You will operate a commercial vehicle, perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, and comply with DOT rules while upholding company policies.

This role requires 1 year of verifiable driving, willingness to work nights and weekends, lifting up to 75 lbs, and the ability to work unsupervised in an outside environment. High school diploma or equivalent; experience with live poultry preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight, etc.).
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and company policies and local, state and federal laws.

Responsible for operating commercial motor vehicle transporting equipment, eggs and live poultry in a safe and secure manner.
