Job summary

Holden Farms Inc. is seeking a dependable truck driver to safely transport livestock across Southern MN and Northern Iowa. The ideal candidate must have a valid Class A CDL, a good driving record, and over one year of experience.

The role includes thorough truck inspections, loading/unloading livestock, and commitment to a zero-injury culture and biosecurity protocols. Work would be Monday-Friday from 5:30am to 3:00pm, with overtime opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• Current DOT medical card.
• More than one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre and post-trip truck and trailer inspections.
• Safely drive loaded and unloaded semi-truck/trailer.
• Properly load and unload animals from a livestock trailer.
• Wash out the trailer daily.

Job description

Hours: Monday-Friday 5:30am-3:00pm; times may vary based on business needs; opportunities for overtime. The position drives across Southern MN and Northern Iowa; the IA trucking headquarters is based in the Garnavillo area.

Essential Job Functions:

• Proper pre and post-trip truck and trailer inspections
• Safely drive loaded and unloaded semi-truck/trailer
• Properly load and unload animals from a livestock trailer
• Wash out the trailer daily

• Follow Holden Farm's Biosecurity Protocols
• Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Candidate must be able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat, and kneel
• Ability to lift to 55 lbs
• Ability to work in various conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.)
