Responsibilities

• Drive the truck to pick up furniture, food, and other donations from various locations.
• Load and transport equipment and materials to GraceWorks-sponsored events.
• Work with a partner using moving equipment to handle heavy furniture.
• Communicate with donors to coordinate pickup times on scheduled days.
• Interact professionally with donors, customers, and volunteers.
• Assist with loading/unloading at GraceWorks and maintain a clean facility.
• Tell GraceWorks story when asked and represent the organization positively.

As a member of the GraceWorks Ministries’ team, the performance includes demonstrating the following accountabilities: communication, teamwork, job knowledge, and leadership.POSITION SUMMARYThe Truck Driver is responsible for driving the truck to pick up furniture, food, and other donations in homes, businesses, churches, or schools, communicating with in-kind donors corporate and civic community partners, and coordinating their pickup time.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Driving the truck to pick up furniture, food, and other donations in homes, businesses, churches, or schools.Loading and transporting equipment and materials to and from GraceWorks-sponsored events.Working with a partner and using appropriate moving equipment to lift heavy furniture.Communicating with individual in-kind donors to coordinate their pickup time on the scheduled day.Interacting professionally and pleasantly with all donors, customers, and volunteers.Assisting with loading and unloading of sold merchandise or donations at GraceWorks.Cleaning, including bathrooms, lobby, store, and any other areas of GraceWorks.Assisting as needed in all areas of GraceWorks.Being able to tell the GraceWorks story to anyone who asks.Able to react to change productively and handle all other duties/essential tasks as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNoneQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
