Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring immediate, full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers for regional routes across the United States. Average earnings are about $127,000 annually with a $10,000 retention bonus and up to $10,400 in additional incentives.

Travel may be required up to 100 percent, delivering parts to automotive dealerships and other locations. Drivers operate late-model Penske trucks with best-in-class safety features, receive comprehensive benefits from day one, and can advance through training

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL is required and you must be domiciled in the U.S.
  • DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required or ability to obtain
  • 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in 5 years
  • 4–3 years DMV/MVR with minimal violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency is required by federal regulations
  • Regular, predictable full attendance is essential

Responsibilities

  • Travel regionally to work at various locations as needed
  • Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
  • Unload trailer using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
  • Use scanner to record products as they are unloaded and delivered

Job description

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers
  • Average $127,000 annually

  • Additional performance inventives available, up to $10,400 annually
  • Travel required, up to 100 percent
What you will do:
  • This position requires the driver to travel regionally to work at various locations as needed
  • Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
  • Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
  • Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
Schedule:
  • Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment
  • Drivers can expect to be away from home 2 to 3 weeks per assignment
  • Drivers will travel to assigned location, and work from there for duration of work assignment

Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
  • Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
  • This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

  • The associate must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
  • The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
