Job summary

Austin Housing Authority (AHA) is hiring a Truck Driver/Fleet Assistant to keep our properties clean and well-maintained. You will operate vehicles, haul debris and appliances, and support fleet logistics in an environment serving the Austin community.

Starting at $22.00 per hour, the role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance or construction experience, including heavy equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance or construction experience, including heavy equipment.
• Valid Texas driver’s license preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Remove and dispose of trash, appliances and debris per agency standards.
• Haul appliances, construction materials, and other equipment to support operations.
• Safely operate and maintain agency vehicles including trucks and trailers.
• Assist with building and grounds maintenance and minor repairs.
• Complete daily haul activity reports and related documentation.
• Perform other duties to support agency operations.
