Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Columbus, OH to drive solo across the central U.S. and Canada, with home time every other week.

Drivers receive weekly pay of about $1,950, a $250 quarterly safety bonus, and sign-on bonuses of $1,500 at 30 days and at 90 days, plus paid training and comprehensive benefits after 30 days. Maintained trucks and 24/7 roadside support enhance safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check including motor vehicle records for last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
