Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in York, PA, offering weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Enjoy home weekends, 50+ hours weekly, and earning potential with per mile, per stop pay, and a generous sign-on bonus.

Tractor types include Sleeper, Refrigerated, and Inverters with mainly Dry Van freight; occasional Reefer/Flatbed. Ryder trains you on equipment and supports your growth in logistics.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years.
• Must pass a Ryder Drug Test and Background/MVR checks, DOT physical and road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards; maintain accurate logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hours Per Week: 50 + hours per week
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.65 per Mile with 1100 - 2000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$15.68 per Stop with 25 - 30 Stops per Week
• Sign on Bonus: $1500 paid out at 30 days $1500 paid out at 90 days
• Per Diem Pay: $52.18 per night with 4 nights per Week
• Touch Freight Pay: $0.1785 per piece with 2000+ Tire pieces per Week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, Home Weekends

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
